early this year i received an email from longtime clients iberostar that a competition was being held among photographers from europe and america to find the right person to photograph the companies 100+ hotels around the world, my jaw dropped… how can a person physically photograph that many hotels in 30 months, let alone find the team and the right budget to do so? the guidelines where set and the competition was on! contrary from many photo competitions this had nothing to do with taking or submitting photos, they already knew our skills, but in submitting a good proposal and the right budget for the job. after 2 months of proposals, endless nights, recommendations, and phone interviews (which in my opinion i am particularly uncomfortable, i always prefer eye to eye), i got the call that i was the right candidate for the job, my jaw dropped again… now the easy part was done, now the task to photograph 100+ hotels was upon me, how do i do this? well… i am now on my second trip after mallorca heading to the canary islands and the way i decided to take this is day by day, one by one, one photo at a time, and to surround me with the best team i can find. i want to thank all the people that support me, my team, all of the people at iberostar, and the ones that i will have the opportunity to share this wonderful experience with.
